At Mosaicshop, we also strive to make our contribution to minimize environmental impact and reduce waste.
We do so by:
- Packing loose products that need to be weighed in one bag. So, if you order, for example, 5x100g, you will receive 500g in one bag. This is an effort to limit the use of plastic bags.
- Reusing boxes if they are still in good condition, so you can expect a recycled box.
- Our packing chips are 100% biodegradable. The green chips may not look eco-friendly, but they are, and you can easily dissolve them in water.
- The packing paper is also recycled.
- Unfortunately, we cannot do without our plastic bubble wrap to protect our fragile items, but we try to use it as sparingly as possible.
- We aim to package each order in a suitable box so that we do not need to use excessive materials.
Het pand waarin de Mosaicshop is gehuisvest, straalt duurzaamheid uit. Het gebouw zelf onderging een zorgvuldige renovatie, waarbij we bewust kozen voor milieuvriendelijke materialen zoals kalk en hennep voor isolatie, en leem als afwerkingslaag. Deze doordachte aanpak niet alleen zorgt voor een warme en uitnodigende ambiance, maar verlaagt tevens ons energieverbruik tot een minimum.
In our commitment to sustainability, we have integrated solar panels and an efficient heat pump. Solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into energy, while the heat pump heats our space in an environmentally conscious manner. Thus, the building itself becomes a part of our story, a story of sustainability, responsibility, and a forward-looking vision. As we share our passion for mosaics, we also convey our dedication to the planet we live on. The building where we come together is not only a home for our creativity but also a beacon of sustainable inspiration.
